The sixth day and humanity
On the sixth day God creates land animals and humankind in His image. The day culminates in blessing and responsibility before the seventh-day rest.
Six days of work before Sabbath
Six marks the ordinary rhythm of faithful labor; the seventh day interrupts work with holy rest and trust in God.
Release after six years
Israel’s law placed a limit on bonded service: after six years, the seventh brought release and generous provision.
Six cities of refuge
Six designated cities provided refuge while a death was investigated, joining mercy with due process and communal responsibility.
Six wings in worship
Isaiah’s seraphim and Revelation’s living creatures have six wings as they worship before God’s holiness and throne.

John notes six stone water jars when Jesus transforms water into wine, revealing His glory through the first narrated sign.
The number in Revelation—read in context
Revelation explicitly names 666 as the number of the beast and calls for wisdom. That passage must not be turned into a rule that every six is evil.
